Robert "Butch" Gaylor

GAYLOR - Robert "Butch" Gaylor, age 82 of Monroe, GA, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens, 490 Edmondson Road, Monroe. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM prior to the service at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 209 South Hammond Drive, Monroe. Butch was a Histotechnologist for DeKalb Medical Center prior to retiring. He enjoyed classic country music. Butch had a green thumb and loved to garden, often enjoying a casual stroll in his garden. He enjoyed Christmas. It truly was a wonderful time of year for him. Butch was a loving husband, father, and beloved grandfather who deeply loved his grandchildren. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Bonnie Ruth (Deberry) Gaylor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sandra (Griffin) Gaylor; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob (Kathy) Gaylor and Ryan (Shannon) Gaylor; grandchildren, Austin Gaylor, Everett Gaylor, and Beckett Gaylor; sister, Mary Lee; brother, Steve (Lisa) Cohen; numerous family and friends.
