Michael Lee "Mike" Buice Sr.

Mike Buice of Monroe, Georgia, passed away on January 27, 2026, after battling cancer. He retired from Newcomb Spring Corp in Atlanta after more than 40 years, beginning as a shipping clerk at 18 and eventually becoming general manager. He was a 1969 graduate of Avondale High School in DeKalb County and a member of the Marine Reserves. Mike loved golf - he was an excellent player and cherished time with his golfing buddies. He also valued his high school friends and enjoyed being with them. His hobby was buying and selling antique cars and loved a good game of poker. His sons would like to thank his friends for visiting or supporting Mike during his illness, especially Julia Llorens. He is survived by his sons, Michael Lee Buice Jr of Baton Rouge, LA and Robert James Buice of Athens, GA; his sister, Linda Roebuck of Lawrenceville, GA; and his brother, Steve Buice of Covington, GA, who devotedly cared for Mike during the last two years of his life. Mike's sons are deeply grateful for Steve's loving support. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Greene; and his brother, Randall Buice.
