Robert "Pedro" V. Gill, 81, a retired business owner, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home.
Visitation is 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the First Assembly of God Church. Services are 3:00 pm Saturday, April 12, 2025, at First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Tim Cleveland, Bro. Eric Wright, and Bro. Jeff Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the First Assembly Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gill was a native of Leake County and a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He served in the Army National Guard. Pedro and his wife of 60 years, Alma Mayola Williams Gill, owned and operated Maydro's Seafood Restuarant.
In addition to his wife, Mayola; survivors include his children, Sonia Houston (Keith), Robby Gill (Stephanie), May McCrory (Scooter), and Toby Gill (Allison); a brother, Ralph Gill, grandchildren, Matthew Houston, Andrew Houston (Ashton), Hannah Clark (Leyton), Zach Houston (Megan), Courtney Gill, Gage Gill, Rayne Gill, Sean Gill (Madelyn), Kayla Magee (Jason), Cheyenne Edgar (Adam) and Cole McCrory (Allyssa); 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Adam Edgar, Scooter McCrory, Cole McCrory, Zach Houston, Andrew Houston, Sean Gill, Gage Gill, and Mathew Houston.
Honorary pallbearers are Keith Houston, Jason Magee, Leyton Clark, Brayden Tyson, and Ayden Houston.

Mr. Pedro was always nice when my husband and I would go to Maydro's. When Mr. Pedro would see my husband come into the restaurant, he would always cook my husband some fresh oysters. You will be missed.
