Mr. Robert Lee Graves, Sr., 80, was born on December 7, 1944, to Sam and Beatrice Graves in Little Rock/Mineral Springs, Arkansas. He entered eternal rest on September 7, 2025.
Robert spent his early years in Arkansas before later moving to Phoenix, Arizona. In 1962, he married Alfreda C. Edmond, and together as a blended family, they were blessed with seven children. Later in life, he married Linda Edmondson, who preceded him in death.
Robert was a construction worker and beyond work, found joy in the simple but meaningful pleasures of life-boating, fishing, dancing, and singing. He also found fulfillment in his faith, giving his life to Christ and being baptized at the Church of Christ in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Beatrice Graves; brother, Willie Graves; sister, Quenstine Ford; daughter, Carolyn Wheelington; and wife, Linda Graves.
He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers: Ray Graves (Mary) of San Angelo, TX; Sam Graves (Mildred) of Texarkana, TX; and Scott Graves (Mary) of Scottsdale, AZ. He also leaves behind five sons and four daughters: Denny Brandon (Alicia), Lorence Haywood, Robert Graves Jr. (Camishia), and Joseph Graves, all of Phoenix, AZ; Clifford Cobb (Christine) of Oklahoma City, OK; Denise Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; Sylvia Sims (Tommy) of Oklahoma City, OK; Leora Hudley of Kansas City, MO; and Sheila Graves of Little Rock, AR.
Robert's memory will also live on through his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends, as well as his beloved friend, Judy James.
Robert will be remembered as a loving father/grandfather, brother, partner, friend and man of faith. His presence touched the lives of his family and friends, and his memory will be cherished forever.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 15, 2025 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Pastor Curt Garfield officiating.
