Robert E. Grindle, aged 85, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Agawam, MA. Born on April 27, 1940, in Cambridge, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Joshua and Genevieve (Boyce) Grindle and was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Grindle.
From 1960- 1966, Robert served honorably in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career in ministry. Robert was a Youth Pastor at First Central Bible Church and later served as a Pastor and missionary with Village Missions in various locations including Montville, CT, Long Island, NY, and New Gloucester, ME, where he eventually retired. His commitment to faith and community touched many lives along the way.
Robert had a deep appreciation for nature and outdoor activities. He was an avid walker, enjoyed planting, and loved feeding the birds and squirrels. Robert was also a collector of coins and stamps.
Robert is survived by his loving family: his son, Jeffrey Grindle and wife Sue; daughter, Pamela Beaulieu and husband Marc; grandchildren, Benjamin, Michael, Laura, Jordan, Jason, Megan, Ashley, Shelby, and Emma; and six great-grandchildren. His legacy of kindness, devotion, and faith will live on through them.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 10 – 11 AM at First Central Bible Church, 50 Broadway Street, Chicopee with a service to follow at 11 AM.
