Robert E. Groer, age 85 of Aston, PA passed away on June 5, 2024 at Lankaneu Hospital. Born to Erwin and Margaret Fethkey Groer in Philadelphia, PA, he was a lifelong resident of Aston, PA. Robert worked for Sunroc Water Coolers for over 35 years. Robert served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and later served in the Navy, where he was stationed in Morocco. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 811, in Bethel Township, PA. Robert was a craftsman and had a talent for upholstery. He was an outdoorsman and liked fishing and hunting, He enjoyed volunteering at the West Chester Helicopter Museum and was a safety instructor at Delaware County Field and Stream for the Hunter Education Program. He loved being at camp in Potter County with his family. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Virginia Lykens Groer, brother, Alfred Groer, Sr., nephews; Alfred (Audrey) Groer, Jr., Thomas (Jennifer) Groer, and Robert (Jennifer) Groer. A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 30 from 1:00-2:00PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 2:00PM. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to The American Legion, Post 811, 1082 Bethel Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.
