Robert J. Gulick (August 5, 1949 - February 19, 2026)
It is with great sadness that we announce that Robert J. Gulick passed on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by love and family at his home in Thornwood, NY.
Bob was born on August 5, 1949, in White Plains, New York to John and Agnes (Novotny) Gulick and built a career as a Master Plumber. He was also a gifted musician; music was in his blood-his passion, his joy-through that it brought people together.
Bob brought warmth and energy wherever he went. To know him was to know his deep love for his family and friends. He loved a good story, a great meal, traveling and a shared laugh.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Deb (Spencer), and his two children, David and Jen (Dimitrios Vagios). He is also survived by his brother, Brian Gulick of Croton-on-Hudson, NY / Kittery, ME, and his sister, Debora Herdic (Steve Ivan) of Norwalk, CT, along with extended family and countless friends he considered family.
Bob's greatest legacy is simple and extraordinary: he made people feel loved. One of his greatest achievements was having and holding friendships for life. Our hearts are broken, and we will feel his absence every day-but his love, his music, and the joy he brought into every room will never leave us.
A visitation/viewing will be held Tuesday, February 24, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in Hawthorne, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bob's honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center research:
