Bob always had a smile and a good word. We were flight instructor at HT-18 and collaborators at USACOM. He was a good friend and a wonderful person to be around. We enjoyed HC commands at the same time, Bob in Pensacola and me in Guam. I will always have good memories of our times together.

Bob and I flew together in HC-16 and serving with him provided treasured memories! (One Halloween Party comes to mind.) He combined a sense of humor with the necessary moments of seriousness that marked him as truly "an officer and a gentleman." His skills as an aviator were superlative! My prayers and condolences go out to the entire family on their loss.

I cruised with Bob aboard the USS Milwaukee AOR-2 1978-79 serving with HC-6. Bob attended my initiation into the ranks of Chief Petty Officer. I had great respect for him and often thought of him. I flew many hours with him at the controls of our CH46 Aircraft. I will pray for him.
