Robert William Hansen

Robert William Hansen, 86, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 25, 2025. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his sons and daughters. He was born on November 14, 1938, in Beaumont to Doris Ida Lundberg and Henry "Harry" Frederick Hansen.

Robert was the kind of man who would quietly outwork you in everything he did. Whether it was a shovel, a tennis racket, or a softball, his life was an endless illustration of doing a job well. He worked with his hands, his heart, and his faith, well into his 80s, not because he had to, but because he wanted to…Even when he couldn't hear a single person he worked with, he wanted to be there.

Sixty-seven years ago, in 1958, as a young 20-year-old man, Robert started plumbing with his dad. And then from 1972 – 1998, Robert ran Hansen Plumbing and continued to grow the company. Over the years, Robert helped build more than a plumbing shop; he built a reputation for honesty, quality, and treating people right.

His life was rooted in an unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ. Whether in the shop or at church, he quietly modeled what it meant to serve, to trust the Lord, and to love others with grace. We'll miss his laugh, his stubborn resolve, and the way he and his bride made you feel when you were in their home.

While our hearts ache, we rejoice in the hope that he professed: that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest assured, our patriarch is home, and we will see him soon! We thank God for the gift of his life, and we'll carry forward the lessons he taught us-not just in plumbing, but in how to live and love our own families well.

Survivors include his children, Ross Hansen and his wife, Martha, of Beaumont; Cathleen Eaves and her husband, Kenneth, of College Station; Colleen Colletti and her husband, Chris, of Beaumont; and Ron Hansen and his wife, Mary Pat, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Dustin Hansen and his wife, Jamie; Hillary Westfall and her husband, Darrell; Beau Hansen and his wife, Brenna; Wesley Eaves and his wife, Amber; Britany Graham and her husband, Grant; Hannah Danielson and her husband, Parker; Carina Colletti and her husband, Carlos Mendoza; Aaron Colletti; Hailey Hansen; Taylor Hansen and his wife, Sierra; Megan Hansen; and Molly Hansen; great-grandchildren, Zac and his wife, Brooke, Hallie, Micah, Doc, Griffin, Cal, Alanna, Keaton, Isabella, Kyler, Evie Cate, Nolan, and Audrey; great-great-grandson, Asher; siblings, Pat Glaze of Beaumont, and Barbara Thompson of Beaumont; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Hansen; and siblings, Sonny Hansen and Jacqueline Lewis.

A gathering of Mr. Hansen's family and friends will begin 1:00 p.m. with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Christian Fellowship, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
