Robert Woolsey Harmon passed away December 20, 2025. He was born May 12, 1948, in Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Virginia and was the son of Robert Weems and Marguerite Woolsey Harmon, deceased. Bob grew up in Falls Church, Virginia. He attended Lynchburg College. After college, he worked for the USGS General Services Administration. Upon his retirement, he moved with his mother to Summerville, SC in 1999.

Bob enjoyed playing guitar and was in many groups in Virginia and Summerville. He was a member of the Mandolin Orchestra in Washington, DC where he played in several states as well as in Europe.

He also enjoyed gardening and watching college football and basketball games. He loved country music and had quite a collection of record albums, autographs, and tapes of the stars.

In 2023, Bob made the decision to move to Morning Point Assisted Living in Greeneville. Bob was able to entertain with his guitar and enjoyed playing Mexican Domino's. He really enjoyed the musicians and others that came to entertain the residents. He also enjoyed the outings that the Morning Point staff provided.

Bob spent many hours in the Barnyard Nursery during the Greene County Fair. He talked to the many visitors that came by each day. He was also a sponsor and attended the Century Farm luncheon.

Bob enjoyed living in Greene County and the wide range of events and celebrations that he was able to attend. He went to concerts, played his guitar with area musicians, and became a major part of our life.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 10th. Rev. Tommy Collins, a good friend of Bob's, will be officiating minister.
