Sandra Kay Harmon

Sandra Kay Harmon, a beacon of strength and love, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 9, 1940, Sandra's life was a testament to the power of resilience, warmth, and unwavering affection for her family and friends.
Sandra's journey began as the daughter of Beverly (Babcock) Johnson, and throughout her life, she embodied the virtues of her loving mother. Though she was preceded in death by her mother, her step-father, Carrol Johnson, and her dear sister, Sharon Chick, Sandra's legacy is carried on through her cherished family.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Karen Harmon of Kimball Township, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Sandra's joy was multiplied with the birth of her two grandchildren, April Harmon and Anthony (Ashley) Harmon, and she was blessed to see the sparkle of her great-grandchildren, Theodore, Felyx, and Zoey, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
A woman of indomitable spirit, Sandra was known for her strong will and vivacious personality. She found great pleasure in the simple joys of life, such as watching hockey games with her beloved husband, Bud, whose companionship was a source of constant comfort and delight. Sandra's love for Bud was the cornerstone of her life, and together they shared countless cherished moments.
Sandra's zest for life extended beyond the walls of her home. She relished the opportunity to dine out, savoring both the food and the company. Her laughter was a familiar sound in restaurants where she was a regular, and her presence was a bright spot in the day of anyone who had the pleasure of serving her.
Television was another of Sandra's simple pleasures, and she was an avid fan of "The Big Bang Theory." The show's humor and wit were a source of endless entertainment for her, and she never missed an episode. Sandra's love for her shows was only matched by her love for her friends. She enjoyed reuniting with former work colleagues, sharing stories, and indulging in a bit of harmless gossip.
Sandra's social nature meant she made a friend everywhere she went. Her ability to connect with people was extraordinary, and she left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and her friends became an extended family, each holding a special place in her heart.
Above all, Sandra's love for her family was immense. She was a pillar of support, a guiding light, and a source of unconditional love. Her son Jeff was the pride of her life, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting him. Sandra's love extended to every branch of her family tree, and she was a cherished figure in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Water Free Methodist Church, 1963 Allen Road, Smiths Creek, Michigan 48074, with visiting starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Alexander will officiate. Interment will take place at Allied Veterans Cemetery in Port Huron at a later date.
