Robert Harold Brimblecombe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Swilley Funeral Home from Mar. 31 to Apr. 1, 2026.
Brimblecombe, Robert Harold Sr., 59 of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026. He was born on July 22, 1966, in Hartford, Connecticut. Rob was the beloved son of David Lee Brimblecombe and the late Cheryl Ann (Belanger) Brimblecombe. He moved to Florida in July 1980 and built a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Rob's faith was rooted in God and family. This guiding principle shaped his life and relationships. Whether spending time with loved ones and camp friends or creating precious memories at home or outdoors, he lived each day with gratitude for the blessings around him.
A highly skilled Master Electrician and respected business owner, Rob was well-known for his expertise and professionalism. His work not only illuminated homes and businesses but also touched the lives of many who had had the privilege of knowing him. Beyond his career, Rob found joy in the simple pleasures of life-fishing, boating, and camping were among his favorite pastimes. He spent countless hours in Crystal River on the water, fishing, and enjoying the fun of Camping.
When not out on the water, Rob could be found at home surrounded by his loving family and pets. He shared a deep bond with his wife of many years, Melanie Ann (Mulkey) Brimblecombe. Together they created a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and love. Rob was a devoted father to his sons, Michael David Brimblecombe and Robert Harold Brimblecombe Jr., a proud grandfather to Elizabeth Ann Brimblecombe, and a caring father-in-law to Jamie Lynne Brimblecombe. His sister, Karen Marie (Brimblecombe) Cason, and his brother, Gary David Brimblecombe, and his lifelong friends, Carmine Spedaliere and Randy Lape, all held special places in his heart.
Rob's love extended beyond his family to include his cherished pets; Cole and Chewbacca, his loyal dogs; and Dobby his affectionate cat. He was predeceased by Karma and Scooter, his beloved companions.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the ICU Unit on the 3rd floor at Advent Health Carrollwood for their exceptional care during Rob's final days. Their compassion and dedication went above and beyond expectations.
May Robert Harold Brimblecombe, Sr's memory bring comfort to all who knew him. His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A visitation ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home, 1602 W Waters Ave, Tampa, FL 33604.
