Robert Harris Obituary
Robert was born on October 19, 1935 in Edwards County, the son of Ralph and Ada (Bradley) Harris. He graduated from Edwards County High School in 1953. He married Helen Runyon on March 14, 1956 in Olney, Illinois.
Robert worked in the oil field for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Church of Nazarene. Robert never met a stranger and would talk to anyone at length. Robert enjoyed gardening, coon hunting, and watching westerns. He was a good man, and will be dearly missed by many.
Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Harris of West Salem; daughter, Cindy Hart of Olney; son, Bobby Harris of West Salem; two granddaughters, Jessica of Olney; Stephanie of Olney; one great-granddaughter, Bella Kay; two brothers, Lionel Harris (Gennie) of Mt. Erie; Joy Harris of Parkersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Gene, Ralph Jr, Cliffton, Ivan, Gerald, Larry and one sister Wanda Miller.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
