My most sincere sympathy is extended to Bob's wife and family. I was in ROTC summer training at Fort Hood Texas the same time as Bob. We were in the same unit. I recall that he was a big guy and a good fellow. He always put forth great effort and would go for extra runs after everyone else was done for the day. He said he wanted to keep in good shape. Not many knew he was an outstanding football player since he didn't make such a claim and asked for no special favors. We chided each other a bit since he was from OU and I was from OSU. It was an honor to briefly know him and to serve our country with him while in training at Fort Hood.

We went to school at SHS with Bob and any memories we have of him, football is always associated. He did us proud in high school, at OU and in the pros and still remained a humble, lovable guy. We are thinking of, you, Barbara and all your family.
