Robert Scott Harvey

Robert Scott Harvey, age 49, of Marion, Indiana, passed away at 11:50 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 6, 1976, in Columbia City, Indiana, to Robert Lee Harvey and Diana (Runyon) Harvey.

Scott was a proud graduate of Marion High School. He was a member of First Christian Church and found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful connections.

Scott had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cats, Buddy and Casey. He enjoyed collecting sports cards – particularly football cards – and was a devoted fan of both the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. He cherished watching football and classic television shows, and he especially loved spending time with his family, with Thanksgiving being one of his favorite holidays. Scott was one of the most caring, loving people and his family will forever cherish the love he showed.

He is survived by his mother, Diana Harvey; sister, Jenny Harvey; uncle, Rick Runyon (late wife Debbie); aunts, Linda Headley and Becky Earhart (late husband Harris); uncle, Bruce (Linda) Harvey; and his best friend, Paul Teegarden. Scott also leaves behind several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Harvey; aunt, Beverly Hudson; uncle, William Harvey; and grandparents, Richard (Lois) Runyon and Milton (Pauline) Harvey.

A graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025. Rev. Haley Asberry and Wesley Williams will be officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
