Robert Heights Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones - Gallagher Funeral Home - Keystone Heights on Mar. 10, 2026.
Mr. Robert "Bob" Clyde Horne, age 74 of Keystone Heights passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. He was born on October 15, 1951, in Jacksonville, to John and Essie (Adams) Horne.

A longtime and active member of the First Baptist Church, Bob was a man of faith and community. He was known for his warm heart and willingness to help others. Bob dedicated many years of his life to his work as a furnace operator at Anchor Glass Container Company, where he was proud to be a member of the GMP Union.

An avid sportsman and gun enthusiast, Bob loved the outdoors and the thrill of adventure, sharing his passion with friends and family alike. His joy for life and zest for outdoor activities created cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of his loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy Tommasini and Janet Young.

Bob is survived by his brother, James "Jim" Horne (Linda) of Melrose, and his two nephews and three nieces, who will miss him dearly. He leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends, all of whom will feel the void left by his absence.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Begue officiating.
