Mr. Robert Weldon Henry, age 85 of McEwen, TN, passed away October 4, 2023 at TriStar Horizon in Dickson, TN. Robert was born in McEwen, TN on September 8, 1938 to the late Sidney Earl Henry and Cecil Pat Homes Henry. He married Shirley Alice Henry and worked for the Board of Education. Robert was a beloved bus driver, and later took much pride in all maintenance and painting every inch of Humphreys County Board of Education. Most days after work you could find him expertly refurbishing a piece of treasure he acquired at his last yard sale. He was known to be a man of faith, caring and giving to all those he met in life. Mr. Henry was never boastful with his charity. He was happy to do his part to ease even a stranger in their dismay. Known as Bobby or Bob to most, he was always a pleasure and usually the hoot of the function.
Visitation for Mr. Henry will be Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Bro. Richard Neal will officiate the service. Interment to follow at McEwen Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Becky Neal (Danny) McEwen, TN; 6 grandchildren, Andrea, Jason, Natasha, Danielle, Alisha and Dyllan; 6 great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kingston, Atllie, Jaycee, Braxton and Blake; and two brothers, Jim Henry and David Henry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Cecil Henry; his wife, Shirley Alice Henry; his son, Tony Henry; and sister, Kathy Henry.
Bobby was always a pleasure, and the memories of him will continue to make all of his acquaintances smile.
