Mrs. Wilma Joyce Brown Byrd Curtis, age 86
Of Dickson, TN passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. She was born on April 30, 1939, in McEwen, TN to Andy and Katherine Brown.
A cherished member of the House of Prayer in McEwen, Joyce's unwavering faith and devotion to her community were hallmarks of her character.
Joyce found joy in simple pleasures; she had a deep appreciation for flowers. Sewing was another of her cherished hobbies, allowing her to express her creativity.
Animals held a special place in Joyce's heart, and she particularly cherished her daughter's dogs, Sadie and especially Sam. These furry companions brought her immense joy and companionship, further highlighting her generous and affectionate character.
Mrs. Joyce will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and deep love for her family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
Mrs. Curtis’s wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
