Robert E. Hersh

Robert E. Hersh Jr., age 69, of Spring Grove, passed away at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Harrisburg on September 22, 2021. He was the loving husband of Jan M. (Lau) Hersh, together they shared over 48 years of marriage.
Bob was born in Hanover on November 24, 1951 and was the son of the late Robert E. Hersh Sr. and Genevieve H. (Hoover) Hersh and his step-mother Carol Hersh. He graduated from York Vo-Tech and worked for many years in the autobody industry and also worked for Leonhardt Manufacturing as a welder. He enjoyed dirt track racing, Penn State Football, Steelers Football and watching NASCAR.
In addition to his wife Jan, he is survived by his daughters Amy Jackson and her husband Kevin of Spring Grove and Rachel Rush and her husband Christian of Hanover, his nephew Eric Hersh, his niece Tanya McDowell, his grandchildren Brookelyn, Chance, Hailey, Corinne, Colby, Chloe, and his great grandson Nash. He is also survived by his sister Rosalie Hersh, his brother Ricky Hersh and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Randy Hersh.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in celebration of his life on Wednesday from 4:00PM-6:00PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove with Pastor Rene Kinard officiating. Interment will be held privately by the family.
