Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hiers-Baxley Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center - Buffalo Ridge on Feb. 11, 2026.
Robert (Bob) Hillen, Sr., passed away on January 28, 2026, after losing the battle with age related illnesses. He grew up in Philadelphia, born on February 22, 1944, to Thomas and Dorothy (Sieberlich). He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Kathleen (McGuigan) Hillen and Son, Robert (Bob) Hillen, Jr.

(Susan), brothers Charles (Rosemary) and Thomas (Althea and many nieces and nephews.

Over the years, Bob lived in Philadelphia, PA, Cherry Hill, NJ, Wildwood Crest, NJ, and The Villages, FL.

Bob grew up playing baseball and was a Boy Scout with the Drum and Bugle Corp and part of the Drill Team. His athletic ability led to his commitment to coaching youth baseball and football teams in his local community, including the former Northeast Optimist Club of Philadelphia.

Bob worked and later owned H.H. Fluorescent Parts, Inc. in Cheltenham, PA. His career spanned 48-1/2 years until his retirement in 2009, when he and Kathy moved to The Villages.

An avid golfer, Bob enjoyed being a member of the Wildwood Golf Club for more than 30 years and continued enjoying golf here in The Villages, playing weekly with his friends.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Hope Lutheran Church, located at 250 Avenida Los Angeles, The Villages, FL 32162 or online at https://hope4all.church, designated for the Food Pantry or Cancer Bear Project.
