Robert Allen Hiller, 71, of Carbondale, died on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Allied Hospice in Scranton with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife, the former JoAnne Tolerico.

Born on July 10, 1954 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Willis and Louise (Loveless) Hiller. He was a retired car salesman at Tom Hesser Nissan in Dunmore.

Each of those who knew him can attest to Robert's passionate nature and his many interests. He found joy in golfing, cherished movies, and immersed himself in the excitement of fantasy football. A dedicated sports fan, he was a proud supporter of the New York Yankees and the New England Patriots. Robert's affectionate nature extended to his beloved cat, Brady, with whom he shared many quiet moments.

In his later years, Robert devoted much of his time to caring for JoAnne and creating lasting memories with Jodi.

In addition to his wife, JoAnne, he is survived by his daughter, Jodi Butcher and husband Kevin of Rivesville, WV; his sisters, Jean Stephenson, Helen Griebel, Rose Hicks and husband, Edward and Barbara Brickler and husband Tom; step-son, Frank Nagle and wife Nancy; step-daughter, Maureen West. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Morgan Bryan, Kory, Trevor and Kyle Butcher, Emily Wertz, Madison and Gavin West, Jake, Molly and Maggie Nagle; great grandchildren, Autumn Franks, Archie, Louella and Elouise Bryan, Paisley and Remi Wertz; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willis, Thomas, Roland, Gerald and Burton and his sister, Joan Kranick.

Bob's family would like to thank his sister-in-law, Nancy Perri and also Barbara Brickler for their dedicated care and always being willing to help Bob and JoAnne. They would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Geisinger CMC and Allied Hospice Services for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at noon. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale. Friends may visit on Thursday, 10 until the time of service.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Retreat at White Birch, Simpson, PA 18407.
