Robert L. Hinderliter

Robert L. Hinderliter, 86, of West Salem, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. Bob was born on September 19, 1939, in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Wayne Robert and Lois Jean (Strine) Hinderliter.

Bob retired from farming, a life he truly loved. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and took great pride in gardening and caring for his flowers. Bob also enjoyed fishing with family and friends, making many cherished memories along the way. A very social person, Bob always looked forward to going out to eat and spending time with others. He dearly loved his faithful companion, his dog Molly. Bob attended Christ Chapel in Evansville. Above all, the most important thing in Bob's life was his family, and his grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.

Bob will be remembered by his three grandsons, Robert "L.B." (Heather Davis) Hinderliter, Ryan Wayne (Rachal Zeeb) Hinderliter, and Dereck Lynn Hinderliter; sister, Ann Wood and husband, Gary; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Hinderliter.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Robert "Tudy" Hinderliter, Brian Hinderliter and Lynn Hinderliter.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois with Pastor Jon Michael Deisher officiating.
