Robert Hissom Obituary
Robert D. Hissom, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 90 on June 9, 2024, in Superior Township, Michigan. He was born on January 18, 1934, in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel and Mary (Scott) Hissom.
Robert is survived by his children Diane (Alan) Galanty and Robert (Lisa) Hissom. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Mike (Sue) Lemke, Crystal Lemke, Steven (Christina) Lemke, Lindsey (Kevin) Kock, Brittney Hissom, Joseph (Amanda) Galanty, Robert (Berkleigh Zura) Galanty. He also will be remembered fondly by his great-grandchildren James and Thomas Kock, Cole and Caden Galanty, and Kayla Lemke.
In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his wife Dona. They were married for 42 years.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a Visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan. A Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of those he touched during his lifetime. Those who wish to honor the memory of Robert D. Hissom are invited to consider a contribution to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105.
