Joan Louise Molley Lambert 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 13, 2026. The only child of Joseph and Pauline Molley, Joan worked as a secretary first at American Motors and later at Chrysler Corporation. She married the love of her life, John (Jack) Lambert, in her 50s, and was with him when he died of cancer in 2011. Joan and Jack loved traveling, and wintered in Mexico for many years. Joan enjoyed walking, biking, and swimming. She learned to drive a stick shift in her 70s. She was a poll worker through the 2016 election, and she was passionate about politics. She was also the best-dressed person at any event.
In lieu of flowers, Joan would have been honored if contributions in her memory were made to Angela Hospice of Livonia, MI. If you would prefer to do an act of kindness, she once expressed the wish that people would volunteer their time to a charity of their choice.
Although Joan had no children of her own, she had many close friends and was very much loved by her godson and his wife (John and Louise Ulrich), John's sister (Shawna Makielski), and a friend's daughter (Laura Simms).
Joan’s life will be celebrated on March 17, 2026 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth, MI. Visitation will be at 11 am before a noon Mass.
