Robert Eddie "Robbie" Hollier passed away on Sunday August 17 at his home in Willow Park, surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration of Life: Friday August 22, 2025 in Prince - Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home, Weatherford.
A reception will follow in Ellis Hall at Browning Funeral Home, Weatherford.
Robbie was born on December 8, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to a brave woman that chose life for him. He was adopted by his parents, Edgar and Marzelle Hollier, when he was 20 months old. He spent his childhood in south Louisiana and loved visiting his extended family during the summers in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Robbie graduated from Thibodaux High School where he discovered a love for shop class, binary coding and earned a certificate to DJ small events. Robbie faithfully worked at a local grocery store throughout high school and credited that experience for shaping his work ethic early on. Robbie continued his education at Nichols State University, where he met his bride of 46 years, Paula DeSalvo Hollier. They transferred to Louisiana Tech University where he earned his degree in electrical engineering. Robbie graduated and moved to Fort Worth where he began his career at General Dynamics in 1978. Robbie and Paula were married November 25, 1978 and moved to Belgium. They enjoyed life overseas and later lived in Utah, where he earned his Master’s degree before returning to Fort Worth.
Robbie traveled the world implementing modifications on F-16 and F-22 fighter jets to ensure that the United States and her allies had access to the most up to date and secure defense systems available. He was honored to work alongside the US military on the many bases he traveled to. He received many accolades over his 42 year career at Lockheed Martin, which he humbly drew no attention to, including the NOVA Award for Teamwork and the Aero Star Award.
Above any other accomplishments, Robbie’s pride and joy was the family he and Paula created together. His role of being Dad to his three children and Pops to his seven grandchildren brought him immense fulfillment. With discipline and quiet strength, he provided security, stability, and love. He took every opportunity to impart life lessons to those he loved.
Robbie was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He often said he felt closest to his Creator when he was in nature. Robbie professed faith in Christ as a child and grew in his faith through studying God’s word. For many years he participated in Bible Study Fellowship. He sought to serve the Lord and spread the gospel by going on several short term mission trips, aided in the construction of Pioneer Bible Camp and later volunteered there several summers, led AWANA clubs, and served as a deacon at Trinity Bible Church. Those who knew him will remember a steadfast man who lived for the glory of Jesus, his Lord and Savior.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Marzelle Hollier, his sister, Linda Rome, his in-laws, Frank and Esther DeSalvo and brothers-in-law, Gary Sibley and Gary DeSalvo.
Robbie is survived by his loving wife, Paula Hollier, three children, Ashley Tucker (Josh), Emily Dunnebacke (Joey) and David Hollier (Lauren) and his seven grandchildren Caroline Tucker, Everett Dunnebacke, Henry Tucker, Brayden Hollier, Audrey Dunnebacke, Wyatt Hollier and Eliza Dunnebacke, as well as his sister, Tammy Utley (Robert), brother-in-law Dennis Rome, sisters-in-law Bev DeSalvo and Joy Boquet (Duane) and many nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made, in Robbie's honor, to Pioneer Bible Camp.
