Robert Horness Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Plymouth on May 21, 2025.
Robert R. Horness II, affectionately known as "Bob" or "Ghost," passed away on May 16, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was 69 years old.
Bob was born on February 24, 1956, in London, England, to the late Robert R. and Patricia Ida (Welsch) Horness while his father was serving in the U.S. Air Force. He grew up in Howards Grove and graduated with the Class of 1974.
Throughout his life, Bob worked for various companies, but spent the majority of his career in quality control at Tyson Foods (IBP). Although health issues led to an early retirement, Bob continued to make an indelible impact on the lives of his family, friends, and community.
On August 15, 2015, Bob married his soulmate, Debra Burhop. Together, they shared the laughter, struggles, joys, and tears that life had to offer.
In his younger years, Bob enjoyed fishing, but his true passion revolved around two wheels. Known as "Ghost" to many, Bob loved to ride-especially with the people and causes he cared about. He proudly served as both Vice President and President of the Sheboygan County Motorcycle Club (SCMC), embracing the fellowship and charitable spirit the club represented. When he wasn't riding or spending time with his loving family, Bob could often be found working on his bikes in the garage.
Bob is survived by his wife, Deb; and five daughters: Trisha Reiss, Tonia Horness-Cruz, Crystal Horness, MaKenna Horness (fiancé, Alex Welnetz), and Rebecca Horness. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Gavin Winter, Sophie Reiss, Cole Reiss, Austin Cruz, Isabelle Cruz, Alex Cruz, Isaac Cruz, Atlas Welnetz, Gabriel Welnetz, and Oaklinn Korver; and great-grandchild, Harlow Winter.
Additional survivors include his stepchildren: Joan Schuttey, Jeremy (Lindsay) Burhop, and Justina (Luis) Torres; step-grandchildren: Carter Schuttey, Caleb Schuttey, Luis Torres Jr., Emily Torres, Cooper Burhop, and Ruby Burhop; siblings: David (Diann) Horness, Kristi (Doug) Luecke, and Tom (Leslie) Horness; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robbie Horness; and nephews, Nic Luecke and Keith Horness.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Big Billy's Bar & Grill, 437 E. Mill St., Plymouth, WI 53073.
