Robert L. Houck

Mr. Robert L. "Pork" Houck, age 85 of Rosedale, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at his daughter's home in Bear, Delaware.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of Edna Shanklin and Clarence Houck; Robert attended the Church of the Annunciation, Roman Catholic parish in Rosedale, Maryland.
Robert was a Viet Nam Era veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a Corporal with the Battery A 3rd Battalion of the 13th Field Artillery Regiment. He was commended for his sharpshooter skills. He was member of the American Legion, Post #180, Rosedale, Maryland
Prior to retirement, he was a maintenance technician at the historic Treemont Plaza Hotel in Baltimore, MD for over 25 years. He enjoyed blue grass, dancing, horseshoes, trips to Ocean City, old cars, telling jokes, going on dates with his wife and mostly spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, he was last surviving of his ten siblings, two brothers and seven sisters and his precious granddaughter, Alana Deiter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rosalie A. McLhinney Houck; his son, Timothy, husband of Mandy Houck; his daughters, Lisa, wife of Robert Charles, and Lisa Deiter; his grandchildren, Hannah, Dominik, Cameron, and Tucker.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burials Services.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Final burial will be the Parkwood Cemetery, Parkville, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Judes' Children's Hospital.
