Robert Preston Huffman II, left this world too soon on February 18, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on October 7, 1990, in Virginia, Robert's life was a testament to his strength, compassion, and boundless love for his family and friends.
Robert was the cherished son of Robbie and Becky Huffman and grew up surrounded by the warmth of his loving family. He was a beacon of joy and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew him. His grandmother, Mary Huffman, along with his aunts and uncles, Lisa Reed, Debbie Keen, Buddy Grissom, and Danny Grissom, fondly remember his laughter and the happiness he brought into their lives. Robert's life was further enriched by the love of his daughters, Adalynn and Raylee Huffman, who were the apple of his eye. His fiancée, Brittani Bates, stood by him as a pillar of support and love, and together they shared dreams of a future filled with joy and family.
Robert's early years were shared with his sister, Amanda Huffman, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his beloved son, Alden Huffman, whose memory he cherished deeply. His grandmother, Mary Grissom, grandfathers, Bud Grissom and Bobby Huffman; and his uncles, Johnny Grissom, Sonny Grissom, and Michael Huffman, as well as his aunt, Loretta Huffman, have welcomed him into eternal rest.
A man of dedication and hard work, Robert made his professional mark as a Boiler House Supervisor at Radford University, where he was respected by his colleagues for his leadership and expertise. Beyond his professional achievements, Robert's passions painted the picture of a life lived fully. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and excitement in hunting and fishing, often providing for his family with the fruits of his labor. He had a special knack for working up meat for the table, a skill that was both a hobby and a way to care for his loved ones. In quieter moments, Robert could be found in the kitchen, cooking up delectable dishes that showcased his culinary talents. His family and friends often gathered around the table, enjoying the food and fellowship that Robert so generously provided. Music was another of Robert's joys. He played with a spirit that resonated in the hearts of those who listened.
Robert's life was also deeply marked by the presence of Chelsey Jones, a special person who was the mother of his firstborn. His niece and nephew, Bentley Cole Ratcliffe and Aleigha Ratcliffe, will remember their uncle's playful spirit and the fun times they shared.
