Robert Carlin Huntt

Robert Carlin Huntt Sr. Died on December 21, 2025 at his home in Alexandria Va. Born in Alexandria Va. On Oct. 10, 1933. The son of the late William J. Huntt and Sara C. (Leach) Huntt.
Robert attended Alex. Public schools ( Maury, G.W., and T.C. Williams). In Sept. 1952 he joined the U.S. Marine Corp. After 15 months at Paris Island S.C. he joined the Security Guard Battlion and was later posted at the old U.S. Embassy in London, England where he served from 1954-1956. In 1955 he met and married his wife Rosemary Hennessy of Atlone Ireland.
After assignments at Camp Lejune and Washington D.C. he and Rosemary and two sons spent 3 years in Hawaii where a daughter was born in 1961. After Hawaii in N.C. Robert was selected to attend the U.S Army Counter Intelligence school in MD. In 1963. Later assigned to the 3rd Marine Division (G2/C1) Vietnam(1965-1966). In 1967 he was assigned for duty as Counter Intelligence adviser at the naval sec Natta Okinawa. In 1971 he was assigned as the C.I Chief for the U.S. Marine Corp. Retiring at the post in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Rosemary Hennessy Huntt who died on June 11, 2009.also preceded by his brother John Huntt. He is survived by his two sons William P. Huntt and Robert C. Huntt Jr. One daughter Dayna M. Huntt and 7 grand, 7 great, and 2 great-great grandkids.
