Robert Hurban Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Wise Choice Cremation & Funeral Services - Mesa from Mar. 21 to Mar. 22, 2022.
Robert Hurban, age 92, passed away with his three children, Bob, Randy and Tammy by his side in Scottsdale, AZ on February 28, 2022. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 6, 1929 to Ray and Ann Hurban. He grew up with sister Phyllis and brother Rod in Brookfield, IL.

He earned his degree in mechanical engineering which served him well throughout his successful career. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he was a very proud veteran who loved the United States of America. In August 1953, he married the love of his life Mary Saban. Bob and Mary lived in LaGrange Park, IL where their three children Bob, Randy and Tammy were raised during their early years of life.

The family relocated a number of times across the country which resulted in Bob having many friends from different parts of the country. His last relocation was nine months ago to AZ. He enjoyed the outdoors but none greater than enjoying the beautiful AZ sunshine. Being the utmost optimist, he was the sunshine to many others throughout his life. Prior to his disability, he loved golf, bowling and fishing but his passion for thoroughbred horse racing was the greatest of all.

He is survived by his sons Bob (Rachel), Randy (Missy) daughter Tammy (John) in addition to his grandchildren Amanda (Tim), Randall (Rebecca), Nadine (Mike), Piper (Jarrod), Parker and Peyton and her great-grandchildren, Renner, Ramey, Abbey, John Robert, Ethan and Oliver. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity that supports military veterans.
