Robert Leon Hurney, 74, of Pittsburgh, PA, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Bobby is the son of the late Leon and Margaret Hurney. Bobby is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sheryl Hurney, by his two daughters and their families; Jessica Muldowney (Seth Holst), sons Matthew, Eli, Jack, Jonah, and Ryan; Jacquelyn Hamilton (Christopher Dountas), daughters Ava and Nora. Bobby is also survived by two stepchildren, Joy and Sean and grandson Richard. Bobby is also survived by siblings Patricia, David, Gerald, and Thomas and the late Douglas Hurney; and many nieces and nephews. Bobby was a Bishop Canevin graduate. He served his country in the United States Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Bobby was a local 95 teamster and avid hunter and fisherman. Robert was a stubborn, determined, and Mr. Fix anything. He remembered how to fix everything and anything and his gift for storytelling was like no other. He recalled every date, time, name, and detail. His stories were complete with all the details and larger than life. He was always prepared with a good story or a way to fix something. His stories are the memories we will all hold on to. Hasta la Vista
Family and friends are welcome Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1-5 PM, William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15220, (412-563-2800) Burial will be private.
