Ibbott, Robert L.
BRUNSWICK - Robert L. Ibbott, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, after a brief illness. On March 22, 1943, he was born in Cohoes, N.Y., and grew up in Lansingburgh, N.Y. He has resided in the Town of Brunswick for over 50 years.
Robert "Bob" was predeceased by his father, Morris; and mother, Helen (Weber) Ibbott.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma D. (Funk) Ibbott. He is also survived by his son, Robert M. Ibbott, Brunswick; daughter, Tammy L. Stout, Cheney, Wash.; grandson, Christopher D. (Robin) Stout; and great-grandson, Christopher J. Stout of Patriot, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Paula (Carm) Mastropietro, Kathy (John) Cary; brother-in-law, Bill Funk; and sister, Carole Ibbott; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann LaVelle and Thelma (Funk) Reyla.
Bob retired from Ford Motor Co., Green Island; Al Tech Steel, Watervliet and Faddegon's Nursery, Latham.
Bob loved traveling to Maine, Wildwood Crest, N.J., and Walt Disney World. He also loved going out to dinner and having a latte and bagel at Uncommon Grounds. He enjoyed having conversations with folks at the markets and neighbors.
We would like to thank the Albany Medical Center doctors, nurses and staff for the care they gave Bob.
Bob has requested no viewing or funeral services, and the family will respect his wishes.
