It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of Robert William James, who left us on August 23, 2025, at the age of 59.
Born on June 11, 1966, Robert lived a life defined by service, strength, and love. He proudly served the community for many years as a firefighter, paramedic, and engineer with the Orange County Fire Authority, where his bravery, skill, and compassion touched countless lives. Whether rushing into danger to save others or lending a hand to a fellow teammate, Robert was a man you could always count on.
Away from his career, Robert found joy in simple but meaningful things like, working on cars, taking on projects around the house, and spending time with the family's beloved English Bulldog. He had a remarkable ability to build and fix anything, but most of all, he built a life filled with love, loyalty, and purpose.
He was my very best friend and the love of my life. His presence made every day brighter, and his love gave us strength that will carry us forward.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa James; his daughter, Amber Meyer, and his mother, Audrey Touchstone James. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert James.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the firefighting community, but his legacy of courage, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
