Robert L. Johnson

Robert L. Johnson 90, of Camden, NY passed away at his home on Saturday August 6, 2022. He was born October 3, 1931 in Syracuse, NY a son of Joseph & Arlene Lillis Johnson. Robert retired from the United Steel Workers Union in 1998 after working for Union Allied since 1986. He previously was a cab driver and drove truck. On August 9, 1973, he married the former Phyllis A. Sweet in Tully, NY. She passed away July 9, 2018. They had lived in Camden since 2000.
Surviving are one daughter, Terry Johnson and a son, Daniel Babcock, a stepdaughter, Debbie & Peter Wilkins and their families along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by six sisters; Patricia, Joannie, Arleen, Shirley, Carol and Sally, five brothers, Richard, Tom, Norbert, Joseph and Michael.
Private graveside services will be held in McConnellsville Cemetery under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Forest Park, Harden Blvd Attn: T. Nichols, Camden, NY 13316.
