Robert "Bob" Charles Johnson Sr., 64, of Lower Burrell, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born in New Kensington on May 17, 1961, to the late Med "Sonny" and Elizabeth Menhart Johnson and was a lifelong resident of Lower Burrell. Bob was a strong believer in Jesus Christ. His final moments were spent as a dedicated servant to our Lord, plowing snow at the church for others to safely come hear God's word. He was a devoted member of Lower Burrell Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was active in the men's groups, small study groups, and other activities reaching out to the community. He thoroughly enjoyed his time groundskeeping there and cherished the fellowship he found at his church. Bob was the proud owner/operator of Bob Johnson Trucking, Inc., as well as Johnson Excavating, Inc. He spent a proud 40+ years as an over-the-road truck driver, racking up over 4.5 million miles. Bob had so many hobbies he found joy in. Some of them include fishing, working around the house, plowing snow, cutting grass, and watching or listening to the Pirates. Boy, did he love the Bucs! His favorite pastime was going out to eat with his wonderful, devoted, and loving wife, Amy. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with her, their 4 amazing kids, grandkids, and dogs Maddie and Josey.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Amy Zadai Johnson; four children, Cheyenne (Ryan) Ruckus of Upper Burrell, Robert Charles (Tiffany) Johnson Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Savannah (Ryan) Sowol of New Kensington, and Abilene (Luke) Teagarden of West Leechburg; five grandchildren, Raegan, Rowyn, Silas, Walker, and Delaney, and two more on the way; and six siblings, Bonnie Megats of Lower Burrell, Med "Sonny" (Debbie) Johnson of Madison, OH, Debbie (Dave) Fotheringham of Upper Burrell, Cindy (Roger) Gadsby of Reno, NV, Lori (Mike) Toney of New Kensington, and Scott (Jenn) Johnson of Creede, CO. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at LOWER BURRELL BAPTIST CHURCH, 2935 LEECHBURG ROAD, Lower Burrell 15068.
