Bob was indeed brilliant, unique, and always interested in how to encourage and support high performance. I shall never forget him, and know that I was lucky to have some time as his assistant. I have never met anyone like him. I´m sorry that he went through such a challenge AND I know he met it with grace.

I am so terribly sorry hearing of Bob's passing. He cast some long shadows in his life, by the sounds of it. I was good friends with his sister for awhile. I had a huge,6th grade crush on him. When Carol and I got off the school bus in front of their house, I asked Carol who that was in the yard. He did well with the physical problem he had. RIP Bob.

I worked with Bob for 17 years at Omega optical. He was the most unique business man I ever worked for. I wish it had been possible to have know him better, but we at all times had a professional relationship that did not extend into our private lives. I think that many employees over his very long tenure as a business owner would say the same. It has warmed my heart to read so many personal things about Bob in these obituaries. I regret that this is now how I have come to really understand his man more fully. He will never be replaced in all the lives he touched along his journey. Rest peacefully Robert. Your life was well lived.

Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our beloved cousin Bobby. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and particularly for his steadfast love of his family, his kindness, his genius, his simplicity and his passion for doing what was just and right. He was certainly a man ahead of his time. Love to all, Sara and Victor Comras

Looking back, it´s clear your dad´s creativity, love of nature, and generous spirit shaped not just your home and family, but all of us who were lucky enough to be there. As teenagers, we never thought of him as a genius-he was just our favorite dad, especially for those of us who didn´t always have one to look up to. I imagine Dylan there, waiting, ready to welcome him home. Holding you close in my heart, Mari, and sending you so much love.

Bob, as I knew him, my sister-friend Mari´s father, inspired curiosity, openness and respect for nature. His intelligence and focus was contagious. His spirit will echo through his children and grandchildren with gentle passion. I am sending his family and friends love and comfort.
