Donna M. Johnson

Donna Marie (Bogdan) Johnson, 75, of Aurora, IL passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 15, 1950, in Gary, IN the daughter of Daniel and Barbara (Schweder) Bogdan.

Donna was known for her kind, gentle spirit and dedication to her church, family, and friends. She was a source of love and warmth to everyone who knew her. She retired from the City of Aurora after 30 years of dedicated service. She loved being outside attending to her flowers. Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She is survived by her two children, Jason (Teri) Johnson, and Elizabeth (Christopher) Johnson-Fricano; her three grandchildren, Zack, Riley, and Aubrey; and sister Bonnie (John) Olsem.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Boyd Bogdan; her sister Syl Kroushl; and her brother-in-law Paul Kroushl.

Memorial in state visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Church, 120 South Lancaster Avenue, Aurora, Illinois 60506.

A memorial with mass will be held Friday, February 6. 2026 at Holy Angels Church at 11:00 AM, Fr. Michael Lavan will officiate with inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
