Barbara Ann Sorg

Barbara Ann (Due) Sorg, 65, of North Aurora, IL passed away peacefully in her home on January 23rd, 2026. Barbara was born on November 8th, 1960, in Aurora, IL to Shirley and Bertha (Corrie) Due.

Barbara attended Aurora Central Catholic High School and Robert Morris College. She met the love of her life, Thomas, at just 14 years old, and they spent 50 loving years together.

She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Thomas Sorg, her two daughters, Renee (Michael) Rippinger and Leanne Sorg. Her four grandchildren, Leah Rippinger, Luke Rippinger, Levi Rippinger, and Liam Rippinger were her greatest joys. Barbara loved baking brownies and cookies for them, watching them compete at sporting events, and collecting pictures of them to display in her home. Barbara loved family game night, listening to music, making jokes with her daughters, and spending her days with her best friend, Thomas.

Barbara is also survived by her father, Shirley Due, and her siblings, Donna (Dave) Hensel, Adam (Karen) Due, Jim (Troy) Due, and Robert (Allison) Due. She is also survived by several loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and several loving great nieces and great nephews.

Barbara is now reunited in heaven with her Lord and family members who have gone before her including her mother, Bertha Due, and her father-in-law and mother-in- law, James and Marjorie (Wolssfeld) Sorg.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Church, Fr. John McFadden will officiate.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506, 630-631-5500.
