Robert Lee "Bob" Johnsonbaugh, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born on January 7, 1954, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late C. Bruce and Helen E. (King) Johnsonbaugh. On July 2, 2011, he married Shirley E. Flick in Howard, who survives him at home.

Bob was a 1971 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of E-4. During his service, he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air and Space Outstanding Unit Award, and the Combat Crew Badge before his honorable discharge on May 2, 1974.

Following his military service, Bob worked as a truck driver for Cowen Transportation, where he spent many dedicated years before retiring in 2022. He was a man of Christian faith.

Bob had many passions, but his Harley was at the top of the list. He loved to ride and took great pride in keeping it polished. He also had a deep love for music and could sing just about any tune-often serenading Shirley each day. Since retiring, Bob enjoyed spending time at home, tinkering around the house and yard, always keeping busy. One of his proudest accomplishments was the log home he built with the help of his brothers and his son.

Family was everything to Bob. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He and Shirley were inseparable-they did everything together, and he rarely wanted to be anywhere without her by his side.

In addition to his loving wife, Bob is survived by three sons: Joshua Johnsonbaugh (Melody) of Searcy, AR; Shawn Fischer (Collette) of Unionville; and Travis Fischer (Kelly) of Julian; and one stepson, James Snyder (Danielle) of Howard. He was a proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his siblings: brother, Donald Johnsonbaugh (Janet) of Bellefonte; and sisters, Janice Moore of Bellefonte, Beverly Cavanah of Fairview Park, OH, Bonna Burris (Lynn) of Pleasant Gap, and Diane Taylor (Richard "Rick") of Howard. He also leaves behind a special niece who was like a sister to him, Kimberly Walker of Henderson, TN; and a sister-in-law, Marge Johnsonbaugh of Howard.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Sue Johnsonbaugh, one brother, Richard "Dick" Johnsonbaugh, and one grandson, Jayden Fischer.

All services including Military Honors will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bellefonte YMCA, 125 W. High Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.

Arrangements are under the care of Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. in Milesburg, PA. Online condolences may be shared at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
