Robert Johnston Obituary
He was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arthur Johnston and Helen (Kerby) Johnston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Johnston and his nephew, Trevor Partovi.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After his military service, he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Central Michigan University and spent his career as a car salesman until retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Congel; his daughters, Wendy Johnston (Charlie), whose children are Anthony (Kayla) with their kids Emelia and Jonah, Tessa with her children Charlee and Arya, and Gage (Kaitlyn) with their son River; Nicole Johnston Styles (Rod); his son, B.J. Johnston (Michelle), daughter-in-law Autumn, and their son Ethan; stepson Joseph Goethe (Diana) and their children Alex and Drew; and his sister, Judith Partovi (Alec), along with their daughter Hillary (Matthew).
His wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned. Cheatham County Funeral Home LLC 615-792-2552 online condolences may be made at cheathamcountyfh.com.
