Robert Alcide "Bob" Jolin

Robert “Bob” Alcide Jolin, 73, of Hooksett, died August 22, 2009 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness

Mr. Jolin was born in Manchester, March 8, 1936 to Alcide and Rose (Desrosiers) Jolin. He attended local schools and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in 1955. He was a lifelong resident of this area.

During the Korean War he served with the US Air Force.

He owned and operated Profile Oil Co. for 20 years and later as a co-owner of J & L Escort Co. escorted oversize loads. He also was a route driver for the Union Leader.

Bob was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring and collecting cars. He was a member and past president of the Granite State Antique Auto Club and a member of the Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club, Lincoln Continental Owners Club and the Time Traveler’s Club.

The love of his family and their activities was the focus of his life. He encouraged growth and diversity in his son’s sports and lives. He enjoyed watching hockey, football and baseball.

He was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.

IN HIS LIFE TIME: Members of his family include his wife of 50 years, Claudette (Perusse) Jolin of Hooksett, 2 sons and their wives, Michel and Sandra Jolin of Hooksett, Marc and Erin Jolin of Goffstown, 4 grandchildren, Gregory, Kevin, Grace, Charlotte, a brother and his wife, Norman and Muriel Jolin of Lewisburg, PA., several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford, on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. At Bob’s request, attire is casual.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, 20 East Broadway, 2nd Floor, Derry, NH 03038, or to the charity of one’s choice.
