Robert J. Jonak

Robert Joseph Jonak of Wolcottville, Indiana and formerly of Fort Wayne passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 63.
Born on February 13, 1962, Robert lived a life marked by the quiet dignity of his presence and the unspoken depth of his experiences. He will be remembered for his respectful demeanor and the subtle yet significant impact he had on those around him. He enjoyed each and every day to the fullest. He was the most amazing, husband, father, grandfather and brother. His love for everyone radiated wherever he was at.
He was so very proud of his Military service in the United States Navy that he proudly served in for 12 years. He will be missed by so many especially his immediate family.
He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, that he loved dearly, Teresa Jonak, his children Kariann Jonak (Matt Bailey), Kandice Jonak, James Thornton, Shawn Thornton, Jennifer Cardone (Michael). He also has several grandkids that he loved dearly and enjoyed, Kane, Kallen, Thea, Adrien, Violet, Jacoby, Bear, Reilly, Alayna, Auston, Olivia and Mason. He also leaves behind a sister, Leeann Roach (Robert), a brother-in-law, Charles Wilcher and uncle, Edward Schilling (Sandra).
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Patricia Jonak, sister Doreen Wilcher, and uncle, James Schilling.
He will be in our hearts forever and missed every second of every day.
Memorial services will be Friday, July 11, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
Visitation will also be on Friday, July 11, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m.
Honor guard services will follow the memorial service and will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard.
