Robert John Jones, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio, at the age of 60. Born on August 22, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, Bob lived a life enriched by love, laughter, and the cherished memories he created with family and friends.
Bob dedicated 12 years of his career to window and door sales at Lowe's, where his engaging personality and off-the-wall jokes made him a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike. A graduate of Bellbrook High School, class of 1982, he carried forward the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life.
He was a loving husband to Martha for 18 wonderful years, a devoted father to his children Angel, Jacob, and Anna, and a cherished brother to Richard (Becky) Jones and Jackie (Carletta Lewis) Jones. His close friendship with Tina Brill was a testament to his capacity for connection and camaraderie, bringing joy and support into each other's lives.
Bob's proudest accomplishments lay in his role as a father, where he found joy in taking the kids fishing and creating unforgettable memories with his family. He adored traveling with his wife Martha to Gatlinburg, the site of their wedding, relishing in the experiences that life had to offer. His playful spirit often led him into "the best kind of trouble" with friends, a reflection of his sense of mischief and zest for life.
A true car enthusiast, Bob had a particular fondness for Ford Galaxy's and Model A's, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially cheering on Jimmie Johnson. His passion for fishing was also prominent, along with his collection of model cars, which spoke to his attention to detail and appreciation for craftsmanship.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Loraine Jones, and his sister, Donna Elzroth. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will continue to resonate with all who knew him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support as a husband, father, and friend will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at Pierce Perk in Xenia, Ohio on Friday August 22, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
