Robert Lee Jones was born on October 22, 1941 in Bradford, Arkansas in a log cabin.
He entered into rest, into the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 11:35a.m. at the age of 84.
He was ready. He expressed how much he longed to be with his heavenly Father as well as his earthly father and mother whom he called momma and daddy.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Reverend Lowell Lee Jones and Annie Mae Jones; his sister, Betty Ann Bricker; a grandson, Shane Lucky Thomas; and a nephew, Melvin Leon Bricker.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Phyllis Elaine Jones; two daughters, Annette Menton(Micheal), and Lisa Graves(Gary); two grandchildren, Ashley Cook (Josh) and Justin Thomas (Lacie); and six great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Liam and Kaisen Cook, Skylar, Kinsley and Alison Thomas.
He was faithful to all whom he loved. He was faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a servants heart and served others well. He greeted all whom he knew, with "Whats Up Doc?". He greeted strangers with, "Do You Know The Lord?", followed by words that told about his Jesus.
His smile was big, his heart was too. If there was a need in the town of Higginson, where he resided for almost 43 years of his life, he would run to meet it, and do it with a heart full of joy.
Most of the time he whistled a song while he worked, whether that was helping others or on the job at the sawmill. He loved to sing for, about, and to, his Lord. He worked hard but knew how to play also. His good traits were far too many to mention and they far outweighed his not so good ones. A life lived hard and long, but well. That was the life of Robert Lee Jones.
Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Searcy Faith Cemetery. searcymceuenfuneralhome.
