Robert “Bobby” S. Jordan, Sr. passed away after a brief illness on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was 79 years old. Bobby enjoyed listening and dancing to ‘50’s music, camping, traveling and going to Cruisin’ the Coast to find that one special classic car.
He is survived by his cherished love, Mary Anne, with whom he embraced life; brothers, Larry (Peggy) Jordan, and Chuck Jordan; sister, Sandy Wilkes; as well as a niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie T. and Mattie Jordan; sons, Robbie Jordan and Ricky Jordan; brother, Clayton Jordan; and sister-in-law, Sheila Jordan.
Bobby enjoyed working as a Sheriff’s Deputy and proudly retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Department.
Family and friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00-11:00am until Funeral Services at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s and the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Robert S. Jordan, Sr.
