Robert Aaron Joyner, 66, of Carson, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Bon Secours Southside Regional Hospital, Petersburg, Viginia. He was the son of the late Millard Aaron and Virginia Dare Ford Joyner. Robert was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Petersburg. He retired from McCormick Insulation Company in Richmond, Virginia. Robert enjoyed archaeological digs, finding many artifacts over the years metal detecting. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Joyner Tapp and husband, David, brother, brother Joseph (Joey) Joyner, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George, Virginia 23805 with Pastor Jesse Nascimento officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S.
