Robert "Buck" Myron Keiser, 88, of New Concord, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 1, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 21, 1937, a son of the late George Marion "Shorty" and Agnes Odell (Tucker) Keiser. Buck left Cambridge High School - six months before graduation - in 1954 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was trained at Manhattan Beach Air Force Station as a crew chief on fighter jets and spent a year there and then was stationed in South Africa for 3 years until he came home in 1958. He also spent two years in the Reserves. While in the service, he obtained his GED. He worked in the steel mills in Canton, on the railroad, in the oil fields and in the coal mines. He retired in 1999 from the Clow plant in Coshocton where he was an electrician. Buck loved to hunt, fish, boat and camp and he traveled to Canada several times to do that. He loved old westerns and bluegrass music. He played several instruments including the banjo, electric bass, guitar and harmonica. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler on his property, feeding the deer and keeping critters at bay. He was a humble, faithful believer of Jesus Christ and attended the Nazarene Church where his mother played the organ and sang. He was known for his reputable dry humor. Buck was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend anyone could have. He married Evelyn (King) Loos of Cambridge on Sept. 30, 1973, and helped build the home they shared in Westland Township.

Evelyn survives along with his children, Robert M. and Amy Keiser II of Buckeye, Ariz., Tilena and Bill Sims of Dewey, Ariz., David and Lisa Loos of Cambridge, and Traci and Jeff Smith of New Concord. He leaves one granddaughter, Karen (Joe) Erb; 10 grandsons, Robert (Megan) Keiser, William Keiser, Andrew (Emily) Keiser, Kyle (Bobby Stevenson) Sims, Nathan (Andrea) Sims, Matthew Loos, David Christian Loos, William (Arianna) Loos, Lee Loos, and Dillon Smith; and 10 great-grandchildren Jordan Harris, Amaya and Jace Slagle, Lilith Keiser, Nora and Jett Keiser, Connor Stevenson, Rogan and Tripp Sims, and Mason Loos. Also left to cherish his memory are a brother, Edward (Annie) Keiser of Barnesville; sister, Carol (Jack) Fenton of Cambridge; sisters-in-laws, Patti King of PA, Linda King of Cambridge, and Pam King of Cambridge; brother in laws, Don (Kathy) King of Zanesville, and Rick (Shelly) King of Cambridge.

Buck is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly; brother, Richard Keiser; and a sister, Marian Ritz.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dan Heady for all his prayers and special visits during this difficult time.

Per Buck's wishes, no services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. To sign the online guestbook please visit www.delongbakerlanning.com
