Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Kenney was born August 1, 1968 to the late Servelman and Peggy Ann Kenney.
Bobby had a heart. His heart was a gift from God. For, it was his heart that was at the center of his love for people, even a stranger he had just met. How many times have we seen photos of Bobby with that so happy-to-see-you grin, often accompanied by a joke, demonstrating his joy being in the presence of a valued family member, a valued friend, or a perfect stranger.
In his younger days, he could out skate and out dance the best of them. A gifted athlete, he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. In fact, his "Hackman" baseball skills were in great demand by semi pro softball teams. He loved the Reds and the Bengals, even in their losing seasons.
Bobby's kindness extended to his encouraging support of the achievements of those in his family and his friends, and his friends' children. In his later years, he was the Zodiac Drive angel sitting in front of the house, watching over the elderly neighbors who had watched over him in his childhood.
His community service involved his tutoring and mentoring by teaching many how to read, to pass the Graduate Equivalency Test, and to improve their athletic skills, volunteering at Talbert House, taking food to the elderly, and serving as security guard at the clubs and for some Talbert House events.
His sister, Carol Jean Colbert, preceded him in death. He is survived by: his beloved Audra Zoe Davis; brother, Maurice Kenney of Los Angeles, California; sister, Deborah Hodge of Louisville, Kentucky; children, Maurice Conyers Sr. and Ashley Gresham; grandchildren, Maurice Conyers Jr., Jah'Mir Crawford, Makiya Conyers, Da'Miyah Hatcher, Da'Riyaah Hatcher; nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
