Robert "Bob" Eugene Kennicutt, 87, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home in Oak Grove, MO, following a battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. There will also be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Christian Lodge #392, 1901 S. Broadway, Oak Grove, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Lodge #392.
Bob was born on January 25, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Donald Earl and Ethyel "Lorraine" (Tomlinson) Kennicutt. He attended school at Climax Springs High School. Bob was in the Naval Air Reserves for 8 years. His first job was at the main branch of the Post Office in Kansas City, where he worked for two years. Bob retired from Allis Chalmers in Independence, MO, after 42 ½ years. He later worked at Lowe's for several years.
Bob was a member of Beacon Free Will Baptist Church in Raytown. He was a Master Mason and Past Master of Christian Lodge #392. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, genealogy, and spending time with his family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Alma Lea (Kincaid) Kennicutt who passed away May 24, 1999, and Alice "Darline" (Collins) Kennicutt who passed away on October 12, 2014; and all of his siblings: Naomi Ruth Coatney, Donald Earl Kennicutt Jr., Doris Ethyl Saddler, and Sarah "Sue" Susan Allen.
His survivors include his son, Ricky Eugene Kennicutt of Oak Grove; daughter, Renee Lynn Fallman (Gerald) of Bates City, MO; five grandchildren: Ricky Gene "Bear" Kennicutt, Jr. (Donna) of Odessa, MO, Kristy "Sweetpea" Robertson (Jason) of Oak Grove, Hanna Kennicutt of Lexington, MO, Jacob Fallman of Van Buren Twp, MI, and Andrew Fallman of Bates City; eight great-grandchildren: Dallas Reitz, Dolton Kennicutt, Devin Kennicutt, Logan Robertson, Cheyenne Robertson, Zoe Kennicutt, Kylee Joel, and Kenzie Joel; five great-great-grandchildren: Isaiah Hughes, Noah Kennicutt, Weston Kennicutt, Beau Reitz, and Lyla Enfield; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
