Robert Kidwell

Robert Kidwell, born on January 19, 1940, in California, entered into eternal rest  peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was a dedicated mechanic who devoted 60 years of his life to.

Robert's passion extended beyond his profession; he found joy in various hobbies. He cherished working on vehicles and had a deep appreciation for old country music. Western movies captivated him, and he delighted in fishing and collecting antiques, which reflected his diverse interests and passions.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Cherie Harper and Melanie (Barry) Fuller, and by his siblings, Rosetta Connell, Burton Wright Jr., and Bobby (Laura) Spence. Robert also took great pride in his family, which includes his cherished grandchildren: Nolan Fischer, Stephen Perrett, Xander Fuller, Erika Smith, Sarah Childs, and Shera Hollie. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Julianna Smith, Caleb Ladner, Presley Ladner, and great-great-grandson Kaysen James.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Ann Kidwell, as well as his parents, Rolan and Florence Kidwell. He also mourned the loss of his sisters, C. Jean Kliebert and Anna Allen, and his brother, Kenny Spence.

Visitation will be held on December 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery at 10:45 AM.
